To assist Catholics to reflect on the important social justice and ecological issues of the current Federal election, the Australian Catholic Social Justice Council (ACSJC) will soon be releasing a leaflet. The Justice and Peace Commission will also, in the next few days, send parishes a guide to holding local candidates forums.
The Commission is also working with representatives of the Anglican and Uniting Churches to hold two forums involving Senators and Senate candidates from parties currently represented in the Federal Parliament. A forum will be held on the south side of Brisbane on Wednesday 4 August and on the north side on Monday 9 August, both at 6.30 p.m. for 7 p.m.
